Wanjiru Mbugua-Karani is a distinguished sports administrator and former national tennis champion. She currently serves as the Secretary-General of Tennis Kenya and was elected Vice President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) in October 2023, becoming the first woman to hold this position. Additionally, she was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for Team Kenya ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Her leadership roles extend to serving on the International Tennis Federation’s Gender Equality Committee and the CAT Women in Sports Commission, reflecting her commitment to advancing tennis and promoting gender equality in sports.
